News has come in from International Ski Federation headquarters,  Switzerland, that the Alpine skiing test event scheduled for February at the new Jeongseon Ski resort in Pyeongchang, South Korea, is on track.

The deadline of November 15th was set as deadline  to review wether the construction of the new gondola was progressing to allow for the event to be held for the Februaury event. 

FIS president Gian-Franco Kasper quoted  "We have the promise that everything will be OK." and FIS technical expert Gunter Hujara inspected Jeongseon over the weekend.


Kasper says the gondola "is our challenge -- nothing else."
He says the course "is beautiful, there's no question."
The men's A  World Cup downhill and super-G are scheduled to be held at Jeongseon from Feb. 6-7 2016.
