Welli Hilli Park (formerly Hyundai Sungwoo Resort) is a four-season recreation resort situated in stunning country. A beautiful 90-minute drive north east of Seoul into the Korean Alps, Welli Hilli is a really well designed resort and a particular favourite of snowboarders and snow park enthusiasts.

Welli Hilli sits neatly into the scenic surrounds and its Canadian designers have maximised the aspect and location with some great slopes and fantastic facilities. The mountain offers 19 slopes suitable for beginners to advanced skiers and snowboarders, which have been FIS certified for size and safety. There is also a FIS certified 200m long mogul course to challenge the most serious and supple of skiers. But the centerpiece of Welli Hilli is the international level super halfpipe and awesome trick park where snowboarders and aerial skiers can jump, twist and turn their days away. The wide, open runs give way to some spectacular views to enjoy, with the 2.5km tree-lined trail run through worthy of a mention.

Facilities include a resting place complete with café at the summit to enjoy the panorama of the resort and surrounds and a ski house down the bottom of the mountain. In the ski house there are all the usual amenities as well as food outlets, lockers, equipment and clothing rental and the ski school. Other facilities include a recreation centre, complete with indoor swimming pool, Korean sauna, billiards, a bowling alley, gymnasium, karaoke and a games room. If you fancy a day off the mountain there are plenty of walks to take around the resort, or hiking trails up to the summit.

The accommodation on the resort is next to the ski house and at the base of the slopes. There are various room styles in the condominium apartments or a youth hostel for groups and budget conscious travellers. Alternatively, in the neighbouring village of Dunnae-myeon there are lots of motels and pensions to chose from, as well as restaurants and bars for a night out. Nearby attractions include Chiaksan National Park and Cheonglaesan.
