Located in Pocheon, approximately 50 minutes’ drive from Seoul, Bears Town Ski Resort is another great one-day mountain getaway. Packed full of surprises, Bears Town Ski Resort can be enjoyed by all levels of skiers and boarders, with a very long sledding hill for the kids. Perfect for a weekend getaway, the on-resort accommodation and facilities are great for families and groups of friends wanting an easy mountain experience.

The resort has 8 lifts servicing 10 slopes for all levels of skiers and snowboarders, including the FIS approved 88 Challenger Slope for experts only. Some of the longer runs are through thick pine forests, which is quite lovely and picturesque. There is only a small snow park so if you want to get in some big air time, this may not be the place for you. The ski house is located at the base of the mountain, complete with Western and Korean cafeterias, some fast food outlets, a café, ski school, equipment rental shops and the usual amenities.

Accommodation is also located at the base of the mountain, with a choice of condominiums and a youth hostel as well. Other facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, karaoke and a games arcade. There is also a supermarket on site. Bears Town Ski Resort also put on a shuttle bus service through the season, which makes getting there easy as you can book directly through the resort and they will come to your front door.

If you want to venture out, local attractions include the Korean National Arboretum and Forest Museum, Sanjeong Lake and the Garden of Morning Calm.
